The geometric angles between two ecliptic positions that classical and modern astrology treat as significant. Five major Ptolemaic aspects (conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition) plus six minor aspects (semisextile, semisquare, quintile, sesquiquadrate, biquintile, quincunx).

Major (Ptolemaic) aspects are documented in Claudius Ptolemy's Tetrabiblos (2nd c. CE). Quintile and biquintile were added by Johannes Kepler in Harmonices Mundi (1619). Default orbs follow classical Western convention.
