Jupiter holds traditional rulership of this Midheaven and Neptune the modern one, so older and newer doctrine divide the reading. Classical authors judged rank by Jupiter, the greater benefic, diurnal by sect, and counted his dignity or affliction as the measure of honors, generous patrons and protected reputations when he is strong. Neptune's co-rulership adds glamour and dissolution, renown that arrives as image and can evaporate the same way. Hellenistic practice would also note that the tenth is the place of praxis, action itself, an odd throne for so receptive a sign, which is why modern readers stress vocation over career.
