Jupiter is the benefic of the diurnal sect while the Moon rules the night, so authors note the trine performs its office in either condition, though Jupiter's charity shows most cleanly by day. The Moon applies to Jupiter, being far the faster, and hands him her light as she separates. Reception is notable when the Moon occupies Sagittarius or Pisces, Jupiter's domiciles, or Cancer, where he is exalted. Lilly lists Moon-Jupiter contacts among the significators of fortune in questions of increase; the trine is their gentlest form.
