Jupiter sextile Neptune pairs the classical planet of faith and increase with the modern significator of imagination and dissolution, and the twentieth-century literature reads the easy angle as belief and vision trading gifts. Documented domains include religious and charitable work, art sustained by patronage, idealism that finds institutional shelter, and prosperity connected to the sea, oil, image, or intoxicant trades that modern authors file under Neptune. Neptune's 1846 discovery bars any ancient testimony, yet the modern rulership assignment binds the two planets doctrinally: Neptune was given Pisces, the nocturnal domicile Jupiter had held since antiquity, so their contacts are often read as old and new lords of the same territory negotiating. Jupiter, far the faster body, applies.
