Jupiter signifies abundance, faith, and law; Neptune is assigned dream, compassion, and dissolution of boundaries. The trine is described as generous vision, faith and imagination flowing together without the delusion or escapism a hard angle is said to bring. Modern reference ties the pair to spiritual aspiration, artistic and charitable breadth, and idealism given scope, the benevolence of Jupiter lent Neptune's transcendent color, a pairing modern authors often call among the most idealistic.
Traditional reading
Because Neptune is a modern body, no Hellenistic sect or domicile rule governs the pair; the reading comes from twentieth-century harmonic astrology. Both move slowly, though Jupiter is the faster and applies, so their trines recur across years and are widely shared within a generation. A modern rulership note observes that Neptune is assigned Pisces, a sign Jupiter ruled in the classical scheme and still co-rules in modern practice, so authors read a natural sympathy between them. The classical tradition, predating the planet, offers no testimony, and the interpretation is wholly modern.
