From the Swiss Ephemeris asteroid files, body number 18. That is a real astronomical ephemeris, so the position itself is as precise as any planet's - the uncertainty in an asteroid reading is entirely in the interpretation, not in the number.

When was Pallas discovered?

1802, by Heinrich Olbers. That is the reason Pallas appears in no classical text: the whole classical corpus was written before any of the main-belt bodies were known. It is minor planet 2, found in the six-year burst between 1801 and 1807 that turned a suspected single planet into a belt.

Is Pallas part of traditional astrology?

No. With an 1802 discovery it postdates the entire classical corpus, and its astrological use dates to the late 20th century, mainly through Demetra George's work on the asteroid goddesses. Practically, that means two things: the pattern recognition attribution has a far shorter track record than any planetary rulership, and most sources tighten the orb well below planetary values - often 1 to 2 degrees - so that a contested body cannot add aspects to a chart at a wide orb.
