How the lots work
Each lot is an arc projected from the Ascendant. The Lot of Fortune, for example, takes the distance from the Sun to the Moon and casts it from the Ascendant. In a night chart the arc is reversed.
Sect — whether the chart is diurnal or nocturnal — is determined by whether the Sun is above or below the horizon. See birth chart and methodology.
